This isn’t just a course. It’s the path we each walked when we were searching for more - more meaning, more connection, and a way to truly help the dogs (and people) we cared so deeply about. We didn’t come to this work with everything figured out. Like you, we felt the frustration, the longing, the confusion. And what we found through Dog Listening didn’t just transform how we worked with dogs - it changed everything.
Here's a little of our journey…
Kate Atkins (UK, Hertfordshire) came from a world of structure, planning, and leadership as an assistant head teacher. On the outside, she was successful - but something was missing. The pull toward helping dogs was always there, but it wasn’t until she found Dog Listening that everything truly aligned. What started as a personal search for answers became a calling. Today, Kate brings her love of learning and her passion for clarity to every part of this course - from the beautifully organised lessons to the practical, real-world tools that make transformation possible. And she’s proof that it’s never too late to build a life that feels like you.
When Julie Cluley (UK, Edinburgh) found Dog Listening it was a turning point. Not just in how she related to dogs, but in how she saw herself and others. That deep understanding and compassion became the foundation for everything that followed, including her later training as a 3 Principles certified coach. Now, Julie combines both worlds - guiding people through Dog Listening in a way that feels gentle, intuitive, and free from pressure. She knows that growth doesn’t have to be hard, and that learning is most powerful when it flows from calm and joy.
When Ali Carrington (UK, Mid Sussex) first discovered Dog Listening it was like being handed the missing piece she didn’t even know she needed. It opened her eyes to the deep emotional and energetic connection between dogs and humans. That journey led her to explore even further, becoming a Reiki Master and Animal Reiki Teacher to deepen her understanding of energy, emotion, and the unspoken ways we affect our dogs. Now, Ali brings a unique gift to this work - helping others tune into how their way of being, not just doing, can transform their relationship with their dog.
